given the yearly issue with cellular service with what seems to be 140k AT&T users scrambling for service and draining everyones' batteries, my pal Kevin@cartronix provided me with this great little piece of Asian ingenuity.

sporting a 2000 mah lithium ion battery which straps on your phone for a quick charge (phone goes from half dead to full charge in about 20 mins)....

I'm hopeful I won't have to poke around for charge outlets this year....

oddly I can't easily find this thing online for sale.... which probably means it was recalled due to fire risk.... which leads me to believe it is totally awesome!!!
