Dade Murphy (Zero-Cool) ain't got nothin on me...

Ripped the tv off the wall and made a few changes to suit my needs...
I really should have brought an rs232 cable ... I would have been able to use hdmi by sending direct commands to the set - this guy is LOCKED THE HELL DOWN from the side and the crippled-assed-remote the hotel provides.
had to split composite between two physical sets of inputs..... video worked on the side bank (but audio was disabled).... audio in the aux in1 on the back of the tv worked (it's strange - the RF cable here only does video, there's a separate rca cable coming out of the wall for audio)....
Probably gonna have to tie it up in the morning so the maid doesnt call maint.... ;)
Also had to rip 'n reset the cable modem (hidden in a metal box behind the set).... it wouldn't go online with my pc.... a ball point pen solved that... cox cable to each room... really isn't too bad.
Took videos on a cruise last year planning to use the side inputs only to find them disabled. Spend the whole cruise trying to bribe somebody to unlock it but was not successful. I needed you along with your bag of cables!!
ReplyDeletei brought just enough to get it working.... :)
ReplyDeletemy lord composite looks horrible... how far we've come over the years... 480i feels like web-video from the early 2000's
started thinking about the viability of bringing a universal remote with some programming software for a similar mission in the future. i bet i could have worked that angle as well with a URC live update :)
